Hello, thank you for finding your way here. My name is Jane and I am an artist, dancing between forms, gently seeking to move and connect. Through dancing, poetry, writing and mark making I find expression for what’s arising in and through me.

Improvising in response, and in relation to space, time, self and other(s), I’m curious about how we are all held, interconnected in and beyond time.
I work with improvisation, touch, poetry and mark making to cultivate presence, attention and curiosity.
In my role as Creative Director of Cheshire Dance I champion the importance of embodied knowledge and of valuing, celebrating and amplifying the creative expression of people from underrepresented communities.
Enquiries into anatomy, performance presence, attention to sensation, use of energy and focus support all of my work.
The body is wise and intricately connected to the world. I choose to surrender to and follow the messages it gifts to me.
In sharing my dancing, poetry and writing I offer glimpses into the world as I experience it. I wonder whether they resonate and I invite your responses. I believe creative dialogue enriches our perspective on this life we share.
