Pause… settle… deep breath in, deep breath out… Notice.
A sense of beginning, of arriving at a beginning – this website is the first time, and place that I have created for sharing something of my practice publicly, online – if you’re reading this, welcome! And thank you.
This website is a place to host and share some of the thoughts, writing, dancing and mark-making that emerge from my evolving artistic practice. Some parts of that feel established and well known, like the dancing, and others, I am still getting to know, like the writing and the mark-making. All are rooted in presence, in connection, in imagination. All are shifting, changing, dissolving and re-forming.
‘There are as many truths as droplets of water in the ocean’, and each dance, poem, drawing I share is one of those droplets, for me. They form, clarify, glitter in the light for a moment, captured in a movement, an image, a word, an impulse… then gone. What I share here are attempts to make the imagination visible, in ways that might spark your imagination, or perhaps offer an image, a thought, a question that might linger with you… connect… live on somehow.
I intend to regularly add new poems and writings, as well as updates on projects, workshops and other happenings – I hope you’ll be able to join me in a dance somewhere, sometime.
I intend to write blogs, newsletters when I have something to share – a workshop, a poem, a reflection, a curiosity.
For now, you’re welcome here, please do have a read (and let me know what resonates with you). Coming soon I will share plans for a workshop series – improvisation sessions inspired by the elements, where we will layer their qualities, imagery and dynamics to explore dances rich in possibility, form and expression. There’ll be space for dancing solo, with others, for writing and drawing.

Drawing down from the sky, the universe, magic, made manifest
“I am loyal to all parts of myself”
I honour within, without, a connected whole
Splintering off sparkling particles of being into space
Making manifest imagination that lives in limbs, in air, in images dancing in cells and in light
Magic into being, belief, attention, deep respect for self and space and all that holds and connects us here.
Reaching up and down, curling into the heart… Drawing in close messages, hunches, ideas of beauty and of many truths and ways of seeing.
Being here, limbs loose, ready, waiting…
Sustaining… committing to sustaining which is often about changing, adapting, holding intention whilst forms come and go.
Knowing that soon another intention may arise or arrive, curious to follow the last.
Follow what’s here, now, not needing to know what’s next. Trusting…
In receiving, in self, in starlight tumbling to earth vision
Magic, made manifest, twinkling a pathway… follow…
