As many truths as drops of water in the ocean…
Pause… settle… deep breath in, deep breath out… Notice. A sense of beginning, of arriving at a beginning –...
Drawing on twenty years of experience I facilitate one to ones, classes and workshops.
I work with improvisation, touch, writing and mark making to cultivate presence, attention and curiosity. Enquiries into anatomy, presence, attention to sensation, use of energy and focus support all of my work – though the forms the work takes continually evolve.
Over the years I have developed practices with specific communities of people such as those with profound and multiple learning disabilities, those living with long term health conditions, those with learning disabilities and older adults falls prevention.
I also facilitate capoeira workshops, covering regular classes in Chester and teaching workshops in the UK and Europe.
Since 2012 I have facilitated sessions for BA and MA Dance students as a Visiting/Guest Lecturer at The University of Chester and for Cheshire Dance I have led professional development workshops for professional dance artists exploring a variety of practices and themes.
Most recently I have been facilitating Cheshire Dance’s ‘Move & Connect’ classes at Storyhouse. These improvisation-led classes welcome adults of all abilities and experiences with a focus on finding ease and flow, listening to sensations within and playing with the physical possibilities and personal expressions that arise.
I also offer mentoring and support for dance artists and facilitators.
If you’re interested in one to ones, classes, workshops or mentoring, please get in touch, I’d love to hear from you.
